WELCOME to the website of AUSTRALIA'S PREMIER DOG FRIENDLY HOLIDAY DESTINATION and the WORLD'S VERY FIRST ' DOG HOLIDAY PARK ' - BEST FRIEND HOLIDAY RETREAT. A boutique dog holiday park which has been especially designed for people travelling with their four-legged Best Friend! Cabin accommodation, camping and caravan sites are individually fenced to help ensure your total relaxation. Located less than three hours east of Melbourne and only 3 km from the magnificent Tarra-Bulga National Park, we are located in lush rainforest surroundings adjacent to an all-year-round waterfall and a natural rock-formed swimming pool. All this and yet we are a mere 25 minutes drive from the beach! During the day, fish for trout or the freshwater cray or simply relax with the spectacular birds of the rainforest in our serene parkland gardens. By night, toast marshmallows or chestnuts (in season) on your own private campfire whilst being watched by our friendly resident koalas. Everything has been done to ensure your peace-of-mind during your stay. Cabins and drive-through caravan sites are securely fenced. We have 6 spacious individual off-leash areas within our park, securely fenced (yes, wire-netting going underground) and with double gate entrances. These allow the option of having your own "exclusive" area or meeting and playing with new friends - your choice. We have dog friendly play equipment including dog agility equipment both for the learner and the more experienced. For your convenience, there are "doggy-doo" stations scattered around the park, many tethering places (in the on-leash areas) and various dog drinking spots. A dog hydrobath hut to pamper your best friend and luxury kennels for those occasions when you cannot take your dog with you, eg when visiting the National Parks. Our standard cabins all have private facilities and each has a garden outlook from a spacious bbq decking. Inside the furnishings are modest but include full gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, tv and video, and with our park's own extensive video library, you have over 700 titles to choose from!!! Our new deluxe cabins are for those who wish to pamper themselves and feature a queen size bed in the main bedroom, huge lounge, separate toilet and bathroom, air-conditioning, private covered outdoor decking with a ramp leading to a securely fenced grassed area. They even have their own "doggy bedroom" ! Fantastic views from every room perched high over our competition area with glorious valley and garden views. Park facilities include 2 separate covered bbq and camping kitchen areas. The larger area can seat 40 people and also has cook-tops, microwave, refrigerator, hot and cold water and oh yes, you can have your best friend dine with you !!! We also have an area for dog showing, dog agility, dog flyball and dog competitions generally. SO.......... COME AND JOIN US !!! ..............
